privacy

What this page remembers

  • An anonymous device id — a random identifier in a cookie, signed by our server. It exists only to enforce fair daily limits (knocks, feeds, messages) and to stop abuse. It is not linked to your name, email, or anything else — we never ask for any of those.
  • A scrambled network fingerprint — a one-way hash of your IP address, used for the same daily limits. The raw IP is never stored, and the hashes are erased or blanked automatically within 48 hours. We count; we never archive.
  • Your country code — two letters (like “BR”), so the creature can feel that “someone from Brazil stayed with him”. Never a city, never a location.
  • Small local preferences — your browser keeps a note of today’s knock count and whether you have seen the facts panel. That data stays on your device.

What this page never does

  • No accounts, no passwords, no emails.
  • No advertising, no tracking cookies, no cross-site profiles.
  • Visit counting, if enabled, is cookie-less and aggregate (Umami) — it knows a page was seen, not who you are.
